Kitty/Louise

“I’m sorry… I’m so sorry.” Kitty Butler kept repeating the same words time and again, quite clearly unwell which was possibly the reason her husband had left her in Louise Highberry’s care. She was quite clearly sweating herself into a fever and seemed to be reliving the same situation over and over.
“Kitty…” Louise’s voice was soft but persistant as she brushed dark brown hair out of Kitty’s face, noting the pain in the blue-brown eyes and wishing she could remove it. It hadn’t been Kitty’s fault the girl had been hurt so much by Walter Bliss and she was damned if she’d see this woman ruined by him. Her own blonde hair fell into blue eyes and she spoke again, firmly. “Kitty Ann Butler, stop that right now.”
“Louise?”
“Yes Kitty… it’s me… do you know where you are?”
“Home?”
“Not quite…”
“Your home?”
“Yes.”
Louise smiled softly as she helped Kitty sit up, gently supporting her.
“Who were you apologising to?”
“Nan… Nan King.”
“Nan’s happy now Kitty… and you should be too.”
