I woke up at the crack of ass for no good reason, then tried to go back to sleep and ended up with a headache. I stayed in bed until nearly 11am, hoping it would go away. What is it with me getting headaches on Saturdays lately...and my back hurting more than normal on my days off?
The only thing I managed to accomplish today was taking down the St. Patrick's stuff and putting up the Easter/Spring stuff...and Shawna came down and helped me/kept me company. We went to Big Lots (because we're addicts) and found fucktons of movies in two-packs for $6.00. What we found out at the register is if you buy more than one, each two-pack is reduced to $5.00. So I just got six movies for $15.00. The latest additions to my movie collection are:
Children of Men,
12 Monkeys,
Brotherhood of the Wolf (Pacte des loups, Le),
The Scorpion King (came with Brotherhood of the Wolf or I wouldn't have purchased it),
The Skeleton Key &
Cry_Wolf (unrated version).
I shouldn't be spending money on movies, but I'm anticipating spending a lot of time inside over the coming months (stupid summer) and aside from whatever might be on the Showtime channels, I'll need/want entertainment. I haven't paid more than $8.00 for a movie in a VERY long time, so I suppose it's okay. The Big Lots purchases have been $3.00 movies, with tonight's haul each only costing $2.50. The Walmart movies are all $5.00 (or $4.00 now and then). Really can't beat that...not even at the swap meet and those are often used. Mine are all brand new. I also recently purchased three movies (
The Crucible,
Nick of Time &
Don Juan DeMarco) from
this seller on Ebay...all were brand new and with shipping I paid a total of $23.08. Two of those were additions to my Johnny Depp collection and necessities :)
I figure if after I watch something, I don't anticipate ever wanting to see it again, I'll just put it on Amazon or Ebay and sell it for cheap. I'm running out of room for my dvd's, so it's probably best I don't hold onto all of them. I still have quite a few Depeche Mode VHS tapes I'd like to convert to DVD and then I can sell or donate those.
Okay, this post has been really boring. It's nearly 9:30 and I need to file away the new movies (yes, all my movies are kept alphabetical), eat something and go to bed by 11pm. I want to get up early tomorrow, do my laundry, clean litter boxes and tidy up, so I can be a lazy bum the rest of the day. The weather is supposed to be decent tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to leave all the windows and doors open...that would be nice.
