And I should feel sorry for these people?

Story here.

If you move across country with no job locked into place, get an apartment in Venice and get knocked up, you're asking for a disaster. How stupid was this couple? The proof is there in black and white, for the entire world to see.

If they wanted to move to CA, they should have done what I did a few years ago...send out the resumes, make contacts and wait to see what happens. I at least had an interview out there before I realized I couldn't make a move responsibly. So I'm still here. Had I been offered the job in CA, I wouldn't have moved into a place I couldn't afford...I'd have liked to have a place near the beach, but you can't always have what you want. And if I'd still been of child-bearing years, I certainly would have made sure I didn't get myself knocked up (even with a job in place). When you're living beyond your means (which they obviously were), you don't add a baby to the equation.

All I have to say to this couple is, pack up the car and move back to live with one of your parents...the offer has been made and rather than put your child at risk any further, suck it up and go home. Then when you grow up and learn how to do things the right way (don't rush into moving across country with no job prospects), maybe take another shot at it.
