scooter shop, check; computer shop, ??; couple more updates
I've tidied in preparation for the parents, whom I see the 10th and Saturday morning. Tidying meant I needed to do something about the tools strewn around I used in a vain attempt to get a broken bolt out of my scooter, so I could attached the replacement left mirror (broken in the move and part just arrived). When my scooter place suggested finding a shop with an easy out tool, I called a shop, drove over, the guy unthreaded the bolt easily and attached the new mirror securely. I am so pleased with him, that I plan to make this my shop for the Buddy for the foreseeable future. Mid-month I'll get my state inspections there, so I can register the scooter and car in Texas. When my Buddy needs its next oil change, I'll take it there too. For blue_braces, the guy reminds me of Craig in philosophy but has a Harley. Very satisfying.
I'm probably going to have to find a place to look at my laptop because I think I've gotten a bug that poses as part of the security system to incessantly say I need to buy antivirus packages and trying to take me to different sites. My Norton detects no problems, but there is one--it is interrupting my ability to type with its prompts. Can anyone recommend a national chain (like Best Buy) I could look for here for this debugging? Thanks in advance for ideas.
Butchy came out of surgery just fine. She looks a little Frankensteinish with a shaved section of her head and stitches. I guess she'll have to stay in her Elizabethan collar 2 weeks waiting for the stitches to dissolve.
Another brilliant aikido session yesterday. I was really happy the instructor decided to teach their method of falling. joxn, it is basically Donovan Waite style and includes a more sideways roll with that distinctive way of getting up. Then there were a bunch of same-side wrist grabs into different things--it is fun to have variations on the same attack. But I didn't type them out because I went directly to my new office to unpack boxes of books. Can't access my funds to buy furniture until Sept. 1, so the first couple weeks of classes I will have a card table or something.
