I am working on extending my library of feminist books. I would like recommendations of books about first and second wave feminism, and radical feminism. Please no recommendations of post feminist books or suchlike.

I just agreed to start tutoring my friend's 2nd grade sister in reading. I've only taught secondary English but I know I can handle this - I just need a little guidance with materials. She is going to be repeating the year due to her poor reading skills. He says that she loves fantastical stories...especially "princess" stuff.

My son (two years eight months) and I read a lot, especially at bedtime. I'm getting really wound up by the general offerings of children's books, the vast majority of which have male protagonists, or if they have female protagonists they are 'stereotypical' girls, which is rather irritating.
