I work with Amnesty International at my high school and every month we set up a table for people to sign letters. Our issue this month was accountability for rape in Pakistan. It was really successful, but I heard some guy "joking" later in the day that "gang rape was a good way to punish people." I ended up saying something, but it just pissed me off so much. I hate when people make jokes about women's issues or about women because it does exactly that: it makes them into a joke. I hate jokes.
