i just went through this with my mother. she sent me a very anti-muslim email/forward thing. so i decunstructed it point by point and mailed it to all. i recieved one from her best friend- i expected hate mail but instead she told me my response was spot on. it felt good.

Wow, actually, since it was a probably low-income woman, possibly a woman of color, mentioned in the first part--a demographic of women who have had a long history of being sterilized without their consent--I didn't find it offensive in the least. I didn't understand what your disagreement with it was until you started saying that it was pro-life right wing propoganda. Although it does sound a little chicken-soupy, I didn't find it anti-feminist for the reasons stated. White women are typically the ones who are encouraged NOT to abort by those in power. If you're a poor woman, probably on welfare, with that many kids, chances are they'd be encouraging you to abort. Or aborting for you without your knowledge. Please bear that in mind.
