Before I delve, you ought to know that my school recently adopted a new, stricter dress code. One of the many things now banned are shirts that are blatantly discriminating or otherwise hurtful.

Between classes today, I saw a fellow student wearing a shirt that read

"If you love me, DROP THE CHARGES."

Does anyone else find this completely, inexcusably offensive? I still can't believe that this person was not asked to change into more appropriate clothing, as explained as protocol in the student handbook.

Also, do you think your reaction would be any different if I told you his or her sex?
