Thank you! Thanks for reading "Salt Its Tail," and thanks for your kind words about it. I'm delighted that the fighting and interactions worked for you; they're a big part of Young Blades.

You're welcome.

Lol, I found it on YouTube and I'm definitely going to find time to watch it. :)

Oh, my! That may be the best compliment ever, that my story helped persuade someone to watch the show! Thank you. And so fervently: I hope you enjoy it!

Young Blades is still not (~sigh~) available on DVD or Hulu, so YouTube is indeed the solution; I re-watch it on my recorded-from-TV VHS. :-)

You're welcome! I've seen the pilot and definitely liked it. Only finished one seam on my sock doll's legs; normally in a 50-minute episode I glance down often enough to finish one limb. ;)

Wow. How old is this show?

6 years. Young Blades ran for just 13 episodes in 2005. In the US, it ran on what was then the "Pax Network" (now "Ion Television") as part of a two-hour block with Ponderosa, a western. I don't know whether its cancellation was related to Pax/Ion's troubles, but it happened around the time that the channel changed owners (and names).

Ponderosa was released on DVD, and there was once a rumor online that Young Blades was available on DVD directly from the production company. I wrote to them; they didn't choose to answer.

That's not bad; I still watch the 2003 Ninja Turtles cartoon regularly. No VHS, though; I've never been able to program mine to record. (I hearby dub thee an electronic genius. Mine turns on with the TV power button on the remote and off with the channel change button (or possibly vice versa), and ignores everything else including the VCR button.)

I actually -- vaguely -- remember Ponderosa as something my uncle used to watch sometimes, although I didn't get Pax at home. I don't think, anyway.

I imagine most people get ignored. I wrote to Disney once regarding the sale of pirated DVDs on Ebay; they never answered either.

I've been programming VCRs since the '80s; perhaps I've always just been blessed in my equipment. :-)

I'm not sure we're on the same wavelength here? I was sincerely hoping to get to buy DVDs from the production company. I believe it is true that they sold a limited number of made-in-house copies of the series, but perhaps only in Canada, where they're located. No pirating was involved.

Sorry, I did understand that you were writing to buy a regular DVD. That's just the only experience I have with trying to contact a movie company.
