Recipe For A Black Hole: a mix in two parts
It seemed very important to me that I make some sort of mix to sum up my semester, which has probably been the craziest time I've ever had in my life and has probably changed me more than any other experience I've had. But once I collected all the songs I wanted, I had far too much for one mix.
So I split it up into two parts. One is more narrative; the songs are applicable to situations I was in at certain times. The songs on the second part - the B-sides, if you will - are songs that, lyrically, had nothing to do with my life, but that I listened to a lot or that really affected me for whatever reason.
I don't know. At least to some extent, most of my mixes are made for other people. These are more for myself. But I wanted to post them, and I thought maybe some of you would get a kick out of them.

Again, I really screwed him over. Not a proud moment for me.

At this point, I sort of thought I was dead inside. No more relationships for me!

This played at the end of Episode 2 (I think?) of lapilofu's "Evenings at the Wormhole," which was a huge part of my semester. I loved being Oedipus.
5. The Last Five Years :: Moving Too Fast
Did I just hear an alarm start ringing?
Did I see sirens go flying past?
Though I don't know what tomorrow's bringing
I've got a singular impression
Things are moving too fast
And then I met the boyfriend and all that stuff about being done with relationships went flying out the window. Really, really quickly.
6. The Rocky Horror Picture Show :: Science Fiction, Double Feature
Science fiction - double feature
Dr. X will build a creature
See androids fighting Brad and Janet
Ann Francis stars in Forbidden Planet
At the late night, double feature, picture show
Because Rocky Horror Weekend was the BEST weekend. (And also appropriate given that I lived on Sci-Fi Hall :3)
7. Tegan & Sara :: Underwater
Underwater I wrote drowning
I use to be such good good swimmer
But for now my head is in the clouds
I'm a silly love song
A twisted elbow crush song
Herp derp I really like this guy.
8. Kate Nash :: I Hate Seagulls
And I can't find the words to make it sound unique

I can't believe I've found someone this kind
I hope you'll carry on

In honor of being in a guerilla production of Dr. Horrible last week. (Dude. Our Captain Hammer was SO. GORGEOUS. It was painful.)

In honor of the general debauchery that was so integral to this semester :X
