(no subject)
hi! merry christmas and all that jazzy jazz!
this morning my mom woke me up to exchange presents, make cinnamon buns and egg mcmuffins, and i took the opportunity to take pictures of myself holding onto my gilmore girls dvd set season one. i spent the rest of the day in my pajamas, compiling together mixed tapes, eating this enormous box of chocolates and reorganizing my room which i never got finished doing, so it's still a terrible mess. although i didn't receive my ipod and am still stuck with my dysfunctional cd player and only one working headphone, i don't really mind at all, i had a pretty alright christmas.
i also made a small new layout for my journal and spent the night looking at really neat art:

1. party: i don't really go to parties, but, i'd say it would be between laura's birthday or erin's.
2. show: the o.c.!
3. cd: i did pretty well with my cd purchases this year as there some really good ones. for instance, the shins - chutes too narrow, my belle and sebastian "triology ep set" - lazy lane painter jane, iron and wine - our endless numbered days... but, i think, my greatest purchase would have to be her space holiday - the young machines.
4. movie: garden state. by far. well, maybe not by far... eternal sunshine is pretty close up there too.
5. song: that's way too complicated to answer.
6. experience: i'll just say grad weekend.
7. concert: it would have been death cab for cutie or the pixies but since i didn't go to any concerts this year, i'll say when i saw "the rest" as they were a new band that i've never seen before and i loved them.
8. book: the first book of the shopaholic series as i just started this year.
9. month: summer, in general.
10. day: i don't know.
worst ____ of the year:
1. party: i don't know.
2. show: 3/4 of reality tv.
3. cd: the new get up kids or even the new saves the day.
4. movie: closer.
5. song: that stupid "let's get retarded" song by the black eyed peas.
6. experience: losing katy.
7. concert: the same concert i saw "the rest" at. all of the other bands were awful.
8. book: the book entilted "sixteen".
9. month: january through march.
10. Day: there were lots of those kind of days.
hopes for 2005:
1. predict something that you think will happen in 2005?: i predict that mark will probably get fired the next time he enters work drunk, that i'll hopefully be in ottawa or somewhere where it involves me going to university/college and that i'll probably still be working at starbucks for awhile.
2. what do you hope changes about your country?: everything.
3. what do you hope for yourself?: i hope that i atleast have the motivation to work on myself, especially by rejoining the gym, good lord. i might hope for a boyfriend, i don't know, but i do know that i will not receive one. i hope that i get into university. i hope to be a better person.
4. what do you hope for your family?: that we're okay financially and in general, that everyone's as healthy as they can be.
5. what do you hope for your best friend?: i hope she finds the perfect roomates to live with and continues to have loads of fun.
during 2004:
1. where were you when it began?: in my parent's bed watching when harry met sally.
2. did you stay up?: yes, i think so.
3. what was your new year wish?: i don't remember. it was probably to feel better as of the time that i was wishing i was feeling pretty sick.
4. how many boy/girlfriends?: none!
5. broke up?: good lord.
6. have any crushes?: a handful.
7. care to mention names?: i don't really know their names as they were all five minute crushes i met on busses or at work.
8. new friends?: yes. people at work, chris, brendan, jj & kalan, mk, a few people from school.
9. had to say goodbye?: all of the time.
10. missed anyone?: all of the time.
11. win anything?: two dollars on this bingo ticket.
12. best place you went to?: the coco cat cafe.
13. worst place you went to?: i'm too tired to think.
14. happiest moment?: there were many.
