actually, been kinda wanting to have done this b4 i 4get all the stuff ive been to over the years!
Top 5 gigs (kinda)
1. AFI in the radio 1 tent at reading 2003. Fucking amazing!!! the crowd totally worshipped them and were utterly crazy. During the opening song i remember the crowd singing all the moody backing vocals with Davy Havok singing the lead back, was amazing stuff! the crowd really seemed part of the whole thing. And for the last song he threw himself onto the crowd and sung crowd surfing! Amazing. I would love love to see them live agian.
2. The Ataris, also reading 2003, concret jungle stage, i just loved them, the tent was like 30 degrees + but the crowd was going crazy and the energy was intense. Loved it.
Ok, the next few arnt really in ne order.
Greenday at reading this year very good. U could tell they had been playing a very long time and knew how to play a crowd. Good gig.
HIM at the Astoria. Liked it for the music and his amazing stage presence. He just looked so cool on stage singing with a fag in his hand pretty much the entire time. Very good
god, so many gigs, Foo fighters were really good, but it was daylight and it lost a lot of atmosphere, Dave Grohl (that how u spell it?) is a very funny guy tho!!
Radiohead!!! def in top 5. Glastonbury 2003. One of those bands (like Muse) that are able to command an entire field of 100,000 (not sure really how many! but could of been more than that!). It was b4 i really got into them, but it was all so breathtaking. Coupled with the amazing stage and lighting against a backdrop of black star lit sky. It was truely incredible for the magnitude of it all. Thom York was giving his all on stage too. A raelly magically perfomance. Also Muse at V 2004 had the same kind of power over the audience. The feeling of being so small, the sound just washing over u and carrying u.
other notables are REM and RHCP, um, Metallica, Taking back sunday, Hell is for heros (electric ballroom, really really energetic!)Hoobastank.
