(no subject)
I sat for three hours working on my NaNoWriMo today and managed a little over 2000 words. And that is by typing up, with a lot of adding and editing, what I had already written in my notebook. *headdesk*
This project is so doomed.
Seriously, writing in Icelandic is so much harder than English. For one thing, I don't think my muse even understands Icelandic. I read over what I wrote and it just doesn't sound like my usual writing at all.
Second, I keep hitting the wrong keys. Especially when it comes to ? and " because they're on a completely different place on the Icelandic keyboard then the English one. Like, one on the opposite end and the other at the opposite corner. And even if I remember where the ´ and æ keys are I keep hitting one instead of the other (they're side by side) and keep having to backspace and fix them.
All in all it's been exhausting, my back and shoulders are killing me, and it's just the first day! I'm not really optimistic on reaching 1667 words each day, or whatever the goal is.
On the bright side though, I'm watching Brothers and Sisters and there's gays, sex and videotapes.
On a slightly downside note again the girl wet her bed last night, the cats threw up in our bed and our bathroom is leaking water from the shower and down to the basement.
Is it Friday yet? *sighs*
