My cold is being stubborn and refusing to go away. I'm trying to convince myself that the fever is gone but frankly I suspect it's still a bit over the normal. I'm just (surprisingly enough) not too fond of rectal thermometers and since that's the only way to take the kids' temperature even the mouth thermometers are rectal by now. Yuck ( Read more... )

Poor Baby Girl! I know she's disappointed.

If I don't clean house today, I'm just going to have to burn the place down and move.

At this point burning the house down and moving sounds like a lot less work than cleaning.

She's taking it exceptionally well. Let's see what she says tomorrow though when she has to sit and watch. *sighs*

Ouch! Poor Baby Girl! Unfortunately, I know from experience (well, not MY experience, but my brother's, which was bad enough) that there's pretty much nothing to be done but take the pain killers and wait it out. I wish her the speediest possible recovery and the smallest possible amount of pain. And I hope your cold goes away soonest.

See? This is why I'm so anti-Disney. Disney is like penicillin against porn. I'd much rather have the porn. Then again, I don't have small children, If I did, I might appreciate Disney's sedative powers more.

Yeah, that's what they said.

I actually broke my toe once. My very pretty and sweet but heavy horse stepped on it. And then I got a basketball right on it in gym a couple of weeks later and I swear my toe just burst. Not pretty. Then it started to look funny and so at my third visit to a doctor because of it they scheduled me for surgery. Turns out the bone had started to grow. Out. So I had kind of a tower sprouting out of my toe. Gross, right?

Since then I've had kind of a toe phobia. Just... eeww.

It's amazing with all the subtle sex jokes hidden in Disney how absolutely off turning the music is. Except maybe that song in the Hunchback where Frollo sings about the gypsy girl. Very dirty.

Thank you. It's just such a horrible timing. Not that there's ever a good timing for breaking bones but you know what I mean. Plus it's winter and snow out and she says it hurts to wear her boots. *sighs*

When I broke my littlest toe (and now I forget if it was last year or the year before) what worked for me was boots a size too large (maybe she could borrow a pair) and, strangely, ones that were hard-toed. Things that it seemed like would help, like soft slippers, just put too much pressure on the toe. But too-big boots and not-too-tight-fitting socks helped.
