Eleven Men Out

So tonight is the premiere of the Icelandic film Strákarnir okkar or Eleven Men Out. About the star player of a football (that's soccer to you Americans) team who one day comes out to his team mates and family. After spending the next weeks on the bench he quits the team and joins an all gay football team which challenges his old team to a match.

I think I might have to go see an Icelandic movie in the theatre for the first time in years. (Usually I wait until they show them on TV next X-mas.)

As can be seen in the trailer they had a float on Gay Pride 2004, and some of the actors being rather well known it caused quite a murmur of 'I didn't know he was gay?' and in some cases 'Well, it's about time he came out.' Came to the point that some of the actors were shouting 'It's for a movie! I'm not really gay!' presumably to their mothers. *giggles*

I'm alone at work. Been spending the first half of the day reading news and watching footage from NO. Can't take any more for now. I have to type in the last two classes into the library system and then I'm gonna write porn for the rest of the day. Which is not so long since I'm off at around 13:30.

work, movies
