Still woorking on translating BRokeback Mountain for class. Need a little help:
"leading the horses through brittle branchwood"
brittle branchwood? I know what brittle means, I know what branch and wood means, I'm just not sure what it all means here. Are we talking about broken off branches lying on the ground or some kind of brittle (from being dry and the cold) bushes called branchwood or something else I'm not getting?
