(no subject)
First off I want to thank everyone for the well wishes to my girl. She's only limping a little bit now and she can't really sit on her butt because it's so bruised but other than that she's fine and in good spirits. Well, she has a bad cold but otherwise.. She's spent today lying on her stomach in bed, watching Littlest Pet Shop videos on YouTube. Thankfully she doesn't seem to have any idea how badly it could have gone and is so able to joke about it and is milking it to her best abilities, pitifully begging for ice cream and candy and food in bed, while failing completely to hide her mischievous grin. lol
Second, no more work until January 4th!! Yay!!
Which makes it time to start panicking about everything we have left to do before Christmas. *groans*
I only sent the holiday cards today so they will be late. As usual. *blushes* And while I'm talking about cards: Thank you, piksa and aschicca for your cards! They arrived in the mail today!! *hugs*
I'm almost finished with all my knitting. One pair of mittens left and, if I have time, one balaklava. If I don't have time we'll buy something. We only have to buy a few gifts this year: for the kids, for hubby's aunt, for my family in Sweden (we sent them a couple of CDs) and for us. Everything else I've knitted: 8 hats, 4 pair of mittens, one wrap/shawl, one pair of legwarmers and one shower mitten. (I'm adding a couple of soaps to that gift as well.) And I'm going to knit two more hats but they don't have to be done until January 6th since the ones getting them will be in the US over Xmas. And yes, I will take pictures before I wrap everything up, in case anyone is interested.
Dinner now and then I'm meeting up with my mother and sisters to make chocolate trats and drink lots of wine. :)
