Uhm, so I just came out of the slash closet to pretty much my whole family. O.O
Ok, so there was lots of white wine which I started drinking around 3 pm after having eaten not a scrap of food since the day before BUT the revelation happened only about fifteen minutes after I arrived so no excuse there.
Basically my brother went "So me and your mum were listening to the radio while driving north the other day and there was a program about romantic novels and apparantly there's this genre written mainly for and by women about two guys getting it on instead of a guy with a woman and this kind of writing is called slash-"
Me: "Uhm, I know, I've been writing it for years."
Bro: "So that's the kind you're writing? Anyway, the reason it's called slash is..."
Me: O.O
Yes, anticlimatic.
His wife did ask me a litle more about it which turned into a discussion about some store downtown selling softporn made for women ("We have to go there!") and then the rest of the night we made lots of penis jokes and my brother put the world slash into pretty much everything he was talking about, making my mum almost pee herself with laughter. My family in a nutshell.
Guess I should have been more worried about this, huh?
Of course now they want to read it... *hides*
Btw, from 3-8 pm I drank six glasses of wine. On an empty stomach. Then we ate sushi and I drank more wine. I might be a teeny bit drunk right now...
