Long-overdue update
Wow, I've been pretty pathetic about posting. Partly it's because we haven't done anything particularly exciting since we got back from the cruise...unless you count a Silver Spoons marathon and an Elvis Costello concert.
This weekend we did get out a bit. On Saturday, we attended a first anniversary party for a couple we met through Boston Skeptics. We saw a few other people we knew, and I had some good conversations about Doctor Who once I noticed Jonas had a remote control Dalek sitting in the living room. (Matt Smith gets a big thumbs up from me, by the way.) We followed up the party with a visit to my parents, since they live nearby, and we were well-fed on meatloaf from an old family recipe.
Our friends Dain and Cindi are raising chickens right here in the town where we live. They just got a few new chicks to add to their brood, and we inspected them on Sunday. They have ducks now too, but the ducks were very nervous around people and didn't make for a very good photograph.
