Thoughts after "Devil May Care"

So, after "Devil May Care," Musey has started plotting.

Nothing detailed, mind you. Nothing she plans on turning into a fic or anything. Just the direction she can see things going.

About mid-season, Musey predicts, a bunch of Abaddon's demons are going to Dean-nap Dean for Abaddon's nefarious schemes. Abaddon will either burn off the tatt, or cut it off, and take possession of Dean (as squeamish as that thought makes me. Ew). We will have AbaDean for an ep or three (though hopefully not too much more than that--unless we get to see Dean fighting her--because Dean is that awesome).

Meanwhile, Dean's possession is of great concern to both Zeke and Sam (alternately). This is the incident that forces Zeke to reveal himself to Sam. Sam is, of course, initially freaked out and wants to eject Zeke (perhaps he almost succeeds). But Zeke convinces Sam that he's still too weak to go up against a Knight of Hell without the angelic back-up. (These conversations take place in Sam's head, with Tahmoh Penikett playing Zeke.) Perhaps Sam even tries to take on AbaDean and fails, thus convincing him of his need to let Zeke take the wheel for the battle.

One possible outcome to this would be that the bottom line is that they can either kill Abaddon or save Dean, but they can't do both. The battle ends with AbaDean being stabbed by an angel blade, thus killing the demon (if an angel blade can kill an angel, it can certainly kill a demon, as we've seen), and mortally wounding Dean. As Dean is bleeding out, he's confused as to whom he's talking to (Sam or Zeke) and begging to talk to Sam one last time. Meanwhile, Sam is begging Zeke (in his head) to save Dean.

Can Zeke heal Dean? In the show, yes, because Jensen is contracted for one more season. In fic? Eh, it's a toss-up.

The question is how will Zeke save Dean. With a laying on of hands, or will he have to take possession the way he did with Sam? Is Sam strong enough at this point to survive without Zeke? Would he insist that Zeke leave him to save Dean?

If this were a fic I was writing, and if Dean died, Zeke would assure him that he was Heaven-bound, where friends and family await him. "There'll be peace," Zeke says. "Lay your weary head to rest."

Dean: *pained cough* Kansas. I knew you were one of the good guys.

Brotherly angst abounds!
