I'm not much with the thinky this season. Not as invested as I used to be, but still entertained, and still watching for Jensen (and Dean).
That said . . .
Dean looked really good in this one. And I still love him.
Abbadon, otoh, is creeping me out. Keep your claws out of my Dean! Her threats to Dean? *shudder* (The actress is fantastic fun in the role, btw.)
Kinda liked Irv (Earl?) the one-off hunter. Too bad he couldn't stick around. :-/
Rather liked Zeke's ("I'm gonna call you Zeke." Ha!) tattered wings, reflecting his tattered state.
Also rather liked Zeke pointing out to Dean things Sam never does. Telling Dean what Sam knows, because so often it seems that Sam doesn't really speak a language Dean understands. So to have Zeke look Dean in the face and try to ease Dean's self-blame was a nice thing to see.
Why does no one ever listen to Dean when he tells them not to do something? Kevin, when Dean tells you to stay away from Crowley, he actually means it.
I really liked Dean's words to Kevin about family and how Kevin is part of that.
And although Sam's speech about everything never being better seemed something of an odd change of pace (and probably only temporary), I could accept that, too (for now).
