Today I:
Successfully built a fire in our fireplace. Having slight tendencies toward pyromania, one would think I'd be better at building a fire than I am. The trick is plenty of kindling. I didn't even complain about not having my dad's accelerant of choice, kerosine, on hand. It's a very nice fire, and I'm rather proud of myself.
Put together racks for hanging files at work. And it turns out I didn't need any metal cutting tools, as I apparently have the upper body strength to break cheap metal with my bare hands. I only needed a screwdriver to put the thing together.
I also appear to the the mechanically inclined one in the theater office (where it's just me and my boss). And me being the "mechanically inclined" one is a very, very scary thought. Heh.
And yesterday I put together 12 hard hats. Once I got over trying to figure out the directions and sort of translated said directions into something that looked correct, they went together very easily and logically. Don't let the hat win!
