Drabble: Anticipation (BtVS, Giles, PG-13)

Jun 07, 2017 18:01

Summer-of-Giles is currently running a last-line-first-line drabble challenge. Taking the last line of any previous drabbles as your first line is my idea of fun. I wrote the following (also posted at the comm):

Title: Anticipation
Characters: Giles
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 100
Setting: BtVS Season 2, Episode 17
Last line to be used as my first: “Giles ( Read more... )

Thank you!

This was crossposted from Dreamwidth, but leaving LJ is indeed a little more complicated. Deleting this account would apparently permanently remove all the Herald newsletters I've posted over...the last year? Fifty some posts indexing quite a bit of works in the Buffy fandom. I don't think I have the right to do that. Those posts were a service to the fandom.

And I haven't had time to investigate other options (deleting my personal posts and keeping the community posts intact, etc.). Plus I keep having to come back to LJ each week for my share of the Herald posts... I'm sure I'm overestimating my own "contribution" to the fandom here. Maybe I'll end up doing what rahirah does, crossposting to LJ but disallowing comments, to minimize my visits to LJ. :/

Wow - that would be awful if the Herald posts disappeared ... so if you don't keep your own journal up, and lj deletes it, all those Herald posts go as well?

I think there's a way to delete my journal but leave my community posts alone, but I need to be careful about maintaining the account??? Last time when my account got suspended by mistake, apparently all my Herald posts disappeared. A suspended account will be auto deleted if not contested in 6 months or something.

Idk, seems like the safest way is to maintain this account. :/

Ugh, this drabble is like a hand clamping around your heart and then squeezing it. By which I mean it's very good.

(Late comment is because I only just discovered this via buffyverse Top 5.)
