So I've decorated my Christmas pumpkin, one of those white craft ones that you can pick up at the Michael's craft store. It has a silver star affixed to the center of it and the rest of it is covered in snowflakes and gold stars, all glittering. And because it's a pumpkin and pumpkins are meant to be carved and lit, I have drilled holes through out so that when the multicolored light is placed within the light pours out in pin points all along it's surface.
There you have it, if I can't stand doing Christmas right, then I will find a more suitable way to celebrate it. In the end, it's turned out and I am happy with what I've got. Now if we only knew what was going on this year for Christmas: Are we buying for all? Are we drawing names? Only buying for Kai?
Usually I wouldn't be bothered by any of that, frankly I just never cared for the season, being involved in various jobs where this is the shittiest time of year. But lately; the last two years, tragedies have befallen this family, deaths, separations, everything is just falling apart. Which is why I don't complain anymore--there has been enough problems.
I still dislike this time of year. But; looking over at that pumpkin, I can make it bearable.
