It's one of those one-off and completely out of the blue experiences, when your parents buy you a car without you having any idea that they have been planning it. Sonja came over after school today to keep me company, but other than that it was a completely normal friday, so there was certainly no motive for me getting a car. My dad came home from work, and he told me that he had something for me. He threw something towards me, which I managed to catch reflexively. I looked down at my hand and saw a key almost identical to the keys my parents have for our Laser. Dad said to look in the driveway, and at this point I was really puzzled. I thought that, for some reason, my parents had decided to hand over the family car to me, although this wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. I went out to the driveway, and there, parked in front my family's red Ford Laser was a white Laser, almost the same. Man, I was fucking stoked. It's a manual, and it's done about 4.5 million Ks, but it's a car, and it's mine. Holy shit. I'm going to go and sit in it for a while.
