New years eve
The good: I didn't realize my workplace was closing at 2pm, so when the foreman told me at 1:15 it pretty much made my day.
The bad: I am completely convinced part-time work is for me, but I can't afford to work part-time.
Because of the holidays these past two weeks were only 3 day weeks. I don't mind work, but 8 1/2 hours a day five days a week is just too much. It takes up my whole life. I hate it. If I succeed in becoming a nurse or optometrist then I could probably easily afford to work part-time. I'm not sure if I could afford to as a teacher, but I think (hope) I might really love teaching. I dunno. Career choices are hard. =S
As for new years resolutions, I only have two that I can think of at the moment: do some German learnin' erry day, and do the 50 books challenge. I think for the 50 books challenge I'll aim to read one book every week. Assuming I fail in this no more than twice, I should be able to meet that.
