2013 Top Ten music
I decided to make an iTunes playlist which consisted solely of 2013 releases and that is all I've been listening to since the beginning of the month both on my computer and on my iPod. I still had trouble coming up with a Top 10 because something from the start of the year which I had almost completely forgotten about would pop up on random and I'd be like, "Oh yeah!. Dammit...". There were also releases that I truly believe would be in this Top 10 - at least my Top 20 - if I had given myself more time to pick them up and check them out. Stuff like the Mark Kozelek/Jimmy Lavalle collaboration, the Savages, Jon Hopkins, Rhye, Tim Hecker, MBV as well as the Yo La Tengo, Phosporescent and Deerhunter discs. That's almost a Top 10 on it's own. *sigh*
Anyway, these are the ones that stuck with me the most.
