So fellow northwesterners, I write to you from the far away windy city, Chicago. I must say it is very mind boggling not to have my mountains all around me, they don't even have hills here. I feel that I have to sort of slink along as I am so huge without something to show the turn nature of my size. There are also no evergreens and for someone who wished to live in the ho rain forest, it is most unnerving. I am told that this land is older and that is why there aren't any proper trees, but I don't know, Washington seems to have a greater sense of spirit...
Enough homesickness
I come back tomorrow, friday the 20th, I've been here since last friday, the 13th. It has been good to be with Will, which was the whole reason to come here and we've had a lot of fun. I swear we walked the whole length of Chicago one day. Our feet were so dead, and we were most unhappy. I got to ride on a train, which was cool. They have they Metra here, not the metro, and they are trains not buses. I wish Seattle had more trains. We went to the Field Museum, it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HUGE, like REALLY REALLY BIG. There was an Aztec exhibit which was very cool.
Will hopes to be able to take his final test today rather than tomorrow so that we can spend one more whole day exploring. I hope so, as there is a space and science center around here that sounds interesting.
