"hey dad, they've started airing flight of the concords on sbs! the first episode is tonight, do you want to watch it?"
"what's it about?"
"a couple of kiwi musicians move to the states and they sing songs. it's a musical comedy show - you might like it?"
"hmm..."
"you like music! you like comedy!"
"that is true."
"it's really funny! you're going to love it!"
"okay, I'll watch it with you."
"oh man, it's gonna be so great to re-watch it on tv."
"does this mean you'll be home for dinner? I'm making spaghetti."

"did you like it, dad? you didn't...you didn't laugh very much"

"what did you think of the songs?"
"their songs aren't that good. or funny."
