This is a general post. I will write another entry about Channning Tatum.
Memorable celebrity encounters: Keanu Reeves (nice and funny guy), Jeremy Irons (good storyteller, would reveal information more than needed), Zachary Quinto (great interaction with fans, articulate) and Daniel Radcliffe (earnest, but quite bland).
Movies I watched in a theatre: Side Effects, OZ: The Great and Powerful, Now You See Me, Star Trek Into Darkness, Iron Man 3, The Great Gatsby, This is The End, Man of Steel, World War Z, White House Down, Dispictable Me 2, The Wind Rises, Gravity, Thor: The Dark World; The Hunger Games.
And I am going to watch The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and a few others (47 Ronin, just for Keanu Reeves) before the end of the year.
My favorite three are: Iron Man 3, World War Z and Gravity. I love the leads of the three movies, especially Brad Pitt. Before the release of WWZ, there were a lot of bad press about this movie. Everyone was expecting a huge box office flop. However, Brad Pitt was determined to save the movie. He actually went to the theatres to meet the moviegoers in advance screenings around the world. I remembered there was one day, he visited four cities across America. This showed his full commitment and it worked. WWZ eventually earned more than 540M. This is rare for a non suqeual movie. And now they are making WWZ 2. And the movie itself, I think it's decent as a summer movie could be. Robert Downey Jr. is irreplaceable as Iron Man. If they want to reboot Iron Man someday, the actor who takes the role will have a hard time. And Gravity shows there are good mainstream movies featuring a well written female character. I often don't understand why some girls whining about not enough female superhero movies. In my opinion, Sandra Bullock's character is more appealing than Catwoman, Black widow, or Wonder Woman.
Favorite new Anime of 2013:
Psycho-Pass (Original Sci-fi series with a strong female character. On the surface, she seems to be those typical Plain-Janes, such as Gwen from Merlin. But when you see her making decisions during crisis, you admire her intelligence. Also I actually ship her with the male lead even there is a popular slash pairing),
Attack on Titan (interesting and original story) and Log Horizon (if you are a gamer, you will like it). I also watch Hunter x Hunter, good stories.
New TV shows I probably will continue to watch: Bates Motel (My guilty pleasure), Hemlock Grove (Bill Skarsgard is so pretty), Sleep Hollow (Ichabod Crane is CUTE. Too bad I don't ship anyone), Masters of Sex (So far so good. I still don't understand how did Michael Sheen get beauties like Kate Beckinsale and Rachel McAdams in real life), and American Horror Story: Coven (Jessica Lange FTW).
Highlights of personal life:
