I think promotion for Merlin 2 is about to take off in UK. Here is an article where Colin talks about RSAMD.

Thanks for that. The ratings for Merlin were just posted. According to USA Today, they got 4.4 million viewers and are rated 47th this week. Unfortunately they are going up against Big Brother which is 17th.

I read 4.5M somewhere. Anyway, better than previous 3 weeks. However, the schedule change might affect ratings for ep. 10 & 11, and it starts at 7e/6c. People might not know about the time slot change.

Yes, better than the last few weeks. Thanks for telling me about the time change. I didn't know and those are my 2 favorite episodes.

See, I know, NBC didn't do a good job informing people about the time slot change.

See, I didn't even KNOW ep 10 was at 7. *shakes head at NBC* Thanks for letting me know, otherwise I wouldn't have known and my dad and I would have missed it. And episode 10 is THE episode I want my dad to watch.

And really, BBC needs to start advertising season 2 already! Heroes and Supernatural already have previews of some sort for their next seasons, BBC has to hurry up. I am getting impatient.

Hehe, I found the info on NBC Merlin site.

But we cannot see it on our TV anyway.

True, but someone will eventually record it and load it onto YT. Lol.

Hey, have you been keeping up with that blog? The woman there posted an excerpt of the music she was working on with Rob Lane for one of the episodes in Season 2. Here. It sounds really really good. And there's also some spoilers for the said episode here. It looks like the theme song for the show is the same, although I'm positive the intro titles will be different.

Thank you for the update. When I read "the death of a minor knight takes place here", I couldn't help giggling. Poor guy, a minor knight. But it means a young knight, or an insignificant character?

The US ratings make me kind of sad. :( And while some of the rave reviews are AWESOME, the other reviews are just cutting.

Honestly, I think people might become critics just so they can be paid to make biting comments.

Well, some reviews are harsh, but Merlin is far from a great show. It's entertaining, fun, but mediocre in story telling, unimpressive in special effects.

That's true, and I know I'm horribly biased, but even when it comes to excellent shows and movies do critics find the littlest things to gripe about, and that's just frustrating.

Haha, I am not the creator of the show, I don't feel that bad reading negative reviews about it. Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy might.

What I want to say is: if people have their reasons of not liking (a certain part of) a show or a movie, they need to expalin it clearly. Negative reviews aren't always destructive, it could be constructive. If the creators are smart, they can always learn something from bad reviews.

As a viewer, myself tries not to be affected by critics. I like to make a judgement on my own. For Merlin, I like most of the characters on the show, therefore I can overlook its simple story-telling and crappy special effects. But S2, I don't know. I have to wait and see.

Nice find thanks for sharing! I'll see if I can find today's Independant tomorrow only because I'm curious the context of his interview reads a little contrived and he seems to be promoting Glasgow and RSAMD.

It's a feature article. The author talked to four successful young people (an actor, an artist, an entrepreneur and an Olympian) under 30 about studying in Scotland. That's the background.
