I feel like aq cigar

Recently I picked up a prescription in Nashua. On my way back to my car I smelled cigar smoke from a cigar someone was smoking at a table set up on the sidewalk. I was very tempted to go talk to the young man smoking it but decided not to. I had just read about a store in Paris which sells chocolates made to be enjoyed while smoking cigars. Cigar culture is new to me though I am known to enjoy a good brandy from time to time as well as enjoying chocolates. All of them together is new to me. Here I am gathering information piece by piece. I am 50 now. I should have it all figured out by the time I am 100.

In my search for refining formal dining skills, I learned that cigar smoking is something that traditionally takes place during the course of a formal dinner. I have done some reading on the basics of what a butler does which includes trimming and lighting cigars and showing guests how to smoke them. Now I would really like to learn how to do it properly by doing it. I thought what better place then a cigar store.

The other day when my interest was piqued by the smell of cigar smoke I took a walk up the street looking for it but was unable to find it. I looked in the yellow pages and found that there is a Castro’s back room both in Nashua and Manchester. There was no answer at the Nashua store but I did talk for a bit with the guy at the Manchester store and learned that if I had looked up I would have noticed the sign to Castro’s Back Room when I walked by it on my way out of the pharmacy.

Today as a result of a traffic diversion I passed Castro’s Back Room again. I thought I would go in and see what I could learn. There were no helpful friendly people to help me but monosyllabic answers from the clerk. I got a strong feeling that they are not interested in me as a patron. I did ask if other women came in and I was told they did. I don’t think I can go there again without someone for support. I am not used to this. Being an only child I am used to going places by myself. I am going to need a companion to go there with me next time.
