Off to work shortly. It's the end of the the resit period, so I'm on alter shift to cover the last hour up to coursework hand-in. Panic hour, as it's known.
Had a good weekend. Did a little dissertation work, and went out on Saturday night with my friend Marie to the NT's free film showing:
http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/?lid=9474. They projected it onto the side of the building, with live music, and we watched from the roof with a picnic. The film was The Lodger, a Hitchcock silent film from 1926. Some Hitch obsessions - glacial blonde in peril, handcuffs - and good camera work, but very melodramatic. The entrance of Ivor Novello, looking like the world's gayest vampire is outstanding - also the wonderful line "He may be a bit queer, but he's a gentleman!".
I've written a draft chapter of the dissie - I'll try to arrange a meeting with my supervisor tomorrow.
Had one of the Bookcrossing books I released at the Crystal Palace Bowl found and journalled, which is nice.
Ah well, off to face the resitting hordes....
