Went to Dragonmeet on Saturday. Picked up the Mongoose edition of Traveller, which I'd wanted for a while, and looked at a few interesting games. Then headed off to Uxbridge for another softball session at Brunel. Had a fun couple of hours in a sports hall with Michael, aided by Julian and I, running through imaginary scenarios with his rookies. "Runners on First and Third, no outs!", throw ball into play, watch where they position themselves and field the ball, then explain how experienced players would handle it. We had a good natter in the bar afterwards.
Went up to the Midlands this week to see my mum. She's been in and out of various hospitals lately, investigating various and sundry illnesses and problems, so I tried to cheer her up a bit. We put up her Christmas tree, and I got to do a bunch of guy things - putting up a picture and a nesting box, repairing things and fixing a set of wonky Christmas tree lights.
