BookCrossing meet-up on Tuesday was good. Had a good chat about westerns with kensey_river, and was unfortunately misheard by Alex26 in my comment on her new haircut.
Last night we had a practice
This week's game is postponed, and the pitch was booked, so we got together at Finsbury Park, doused ourselves liberally with insect repellent, and did some drills and practice on base-running and base-fielding. Then had a practice game to put this into effect. A lot of fun - especially sneaking extra bases and "looking for" the next base to distract fielders from the other runners. Also, as a fielder, advancing threateningly on a runner with the ball, to keep them honest and on their base. Then we went to the pub.
