Liked the new Dr Who, but with some reservations. Don't think David Tennant has settled into the role yet (though I'm sure he will), and I thought the episode was based on some inconsistent pseudo-science and lurched in tone unevenly from serious and moralistic to high-camp. Liked the retro-futuristic city design. Thought "Rose-possessed-by-Casssandra" was fun, in a "Vampire Willow" or "mirror universe Kira Nerys" kind of way - an excuse for the actor to have a ball playing out of character. Also thought (though it's probably just my rambling imagination) that there was a deliberate nod to the
"Harrowing of Hell" in the newly-reincarnated Doctor healing the sufferers in the depths and leading them out into the light - this did go out on Easter Saturday, after all...
