Hospital bags!

If you're giving birth in a hospital or birth center, have you started packing your bags yet? I packed mine a few weeks ago, but I've started doubting some of my choices, and wanted to get some opinions ( Read more... )

I've packed mine, but that's because I've already went into preterm labor twice, so it's been ready for a while...

As for the pjs... something to keep in mind is that the nurses will come in to check on your bleeding frequently after the birth, so unless you want to take off your pants each time then I'd wear some type of gown. I'm planning on just wearing a hospital gown, as ugly as they are, because with my first I bled so much, right through the huge pads that they gave me, and I'd rather not ruin my own clothes.

As for nursing, it never really mattered to me if I was wearing a nursing top or a regular shirt. One you pull to the side, and the other you pull up. It depends on what you are comfortable with. If you are wearing a shirt and don't feel comfortable with anyone seeing your post baby stomach, you can always just pull up the blankets to under your breasts.

As for the pants to go home in, I'd wear something with a nice comfy waist like sweats, and not maternity pants that have a band or anything, just in case you end up having a c-section, you won't want anything irritating your incision.
