Gambling question
I have a question that my friends and I have divergent opinions on so I wanted to ask all of you what your opinions are: Suppose we're playing poker and I keep getting incredibly good hands -doesn't that increase my chances of my next hand being a bad hand? To put it another way: suppose I am playing a slot machine, I play and play and play and don't win and eventually give up. Someone new then comes to take my place: Isn't it more likely that they'll win since I just spent so much time loosing at the machine? Thank you for your input.
