alright, i've never been especially scared of anything, but when you get a fucking HUGE spider right in your face when you open the door...that's cause to jump back. it was pissed as shit, too...legs flyin' everywhere, trying to make itself look bigger to scare off its invader. after a nice blast of air freshener, i smashed it (thank you Robert Fulghum) only to find an even BIGGER spider lurking just outside the doorway. this one was seriously huge. i haven't seen spiders like that since i lived out in the fucking boonies. i grabbed a bible and prayed for God to protect me while i smashed the damn thing with it. that had to be carrying spider eggs or something, that fucker was absolutely monstrous.
i feel powerful.
i also have a bitch of a headache. started at work when they made me cover the dumb side of the restaurant. pft, lousy principato. meandered around, had a smoke with a few girls, bs'ed with customers, got tipped a gold dollar and felt like a shoe-shine boy, and had my first experience as a real-live bartender. 'twas fun.
my phone stopped working a few days ago...saturday, i believe. i should be getting a new one on wednesday, but i'm kind of liking the quiet. no annoying people calling at random times, asking me for this, bitching about that. it's nice.
i don't really do anything more than work at the OG now. i work split shifts the entire week...go in at 11 or before, get a break from 3-4, then work till 10 or later. since my phone went kaput, i can't get any calls from my agent, which is annoying. don't even have his number anymore because it was in my phone. damn my head hurts. it's good, i'm making decent money, and my co-workers are awesome. i finally feel as though i've joined the working world..even if it is at the bottom of the ladder. just reinforces the fact that i have to go back to school and get a degree. granted, the music/acting/modeling thing may take off, but i really do want my education. think i'll minor in russian literature. i really do love it. in the rare chance i do get a break, i'll generally pull out Dostoyevsky or Hesse and get a few more pages under my belt. i'm really starting to appreciate classic literature, and my collection of it is definitely increasing.
bleh, head hurts too much to go on.
