This article on TSA pat downs of children is interesting, but there was one sentence toward the end (it almost feels like a throw-away line) that caught my attention.

"On Tuesday, TSA administrator John Pistole said the agency may change its screening rules for victims of sex abuse."

Wait.  What?

OK. *deep breath* First off. They are not "victims" of sex abuse, because they are alive. They are survivors of sex abuse.

Next up: How are you going to identify survivors? Publicly? In front of an airport screening line? Wouldn't that just add to the stress of being a sex abuse survivor? Can anyone say they're survivor or do they need to carry some sort of proof-of-rape?  Does it have to be rape survivors? Can it be sexual assault survivors? How about molestation survivors? (Oh that would be anyone who previously had an enhanced pat-down wouldn't it?) That would favor women, right?

What about the sex abuse survivor who is also a terrorist?
