Loony, crazy, nutbag, touched, unhinged, dotty, daft, loco, bonkers with bats in my belfry - Now there’s proof positive that I am all that. Why? Because I’ve decided to finally forge forward with my irrational desire to create large scale installation art for the general public. For years I’ve been experimenting with these expressions (though often confined in the realm of ‘erotic art’ or freaky fun fringy clubs). I feel like I’ve been holding myself back. Why? Because, that next step that will make me truly happy is a scary, new uncertain place for me. I’ll be honest, the process of finding and applying for shows and grants is really intimidating… Lately a series of events is showing me that the universe is simultaneously taking me by the hand, and kicking me in the ass, to go to that scary place.
So I will.
Plus side: A community space in San Francisco invited me to install a work for the entire month of April 2013.
Minus side: OMG I have no funds and no pending funding at this time!
Plus side: This gives me a opportunity to learn that and ask for help and information. (hey dear reader, do you know anything about this sort of thing?) Yup, you’ll see me on Kickstarter, I’m sure.
Minus side: The huge installation I am planning will require lots of help. I’ll be seeking items from other people, as well as assistance with building.
Plus side: I’m bless with friends and readers who like fun project - which they’d get to be a part of… and gives me an opportunity to meet wonderful people.
I’m putting this forth here, as a bit of a teaser and motivator for myself… I’ll be announcing more about this journey and this particular project in my digital and flesh spaces.
I hope you’ll stay tuned as be my accomplice (or cheer leader).

Noon to 8pm both days.
Prerequisite: Willingness for serious learning. Must be able to tie your shoelaces. No experience necessary. However, those with experience will be appropriately challenged.
Includes: 16+ hours of intensive training from four Dojo Cadres. Emphasis will be on balanced education focusing on “Heart-Mind-Hand” approach, covering rope skills, scene managements, psychology, history and more for both those who tie and those who are tied.
Included: morning nosh, delicious lunches, afternoon snacks & other goodies
