Week in photos

Oct 19, 2024 10:09

Monday was the only day this week kind of damp and grey.

My wife had the day off, so met me for lunch. We went to a gas station near where I work. But, they have good sandwiches.

By the end of the day it had cleared up some and the rest of the week was nice.

It did get cold enough the rest of the week for frost on the car in the mornings, so we had to bring our plants in from the balcony.

And, it is pretty with the leaves.

I continue to try and learn French. But, I remain unconvinced what it is teaching me is what I’ll need to visit a museum…

The clear days had an unexpected issue. The sun sets are lined up with one of the major highways these days, so the traffic just comes to a stop. I know a lot of back roads, but Google directs people to them, so it still gets busy. It’s pretty in the fall, but the 12 miles home took me more than an hour Wednesday.

My route did let me see a very nice moonrise.

Well, the view wasn’t always my favorite…

But, mostly it is nice this time of year.

Friday my wife picked me up at work and we went up to New Hampshire to do a fire show that evening.

Photos from the show are over at the Phoenix Swords blog:
