Strange dream
I dreamed that we were having a big goodbye party for my boss that got fired last month, Bruce.
It was being held at this medieval themed restaurant that was much like a theme park medieval place.
We had to go in one end and make our way through a "historical" maze kind of thing to the other end where the dining room was.
It reminded me a little bit about a cross between Disney, Medieval Times, the Warwick castle we went to last year (https://www.warwick-castle.com/ ) and the castle outside Amsterdam we went to in 2018 (https://muiderslot.nl/ ).
We went through the whole place and came to the dining area. It was indoors, but made to look like the courtyard of a castle. The lights were all flickering neon light that tried to look like flames in torches.
There was a big table set out for many people, and we were directed there.
There was a couple in their 50’s or so there.
"Hi, we’re Bruce’s parents," the man said, holding out his hand.
"We’re so proud of him," the woman said. "Thank you for coming to the party for him."
"I’ve worked for him a long time," I replied. "He’s been a good boss."
They smiled at me and my wife and I went to sit down at the other end of the table from where they were standing.
Other folks I worked with came in. Some expressed surprised I brought my wife with me.
"If Bruce can bring his parents, don’t complain I’ve brought my wife," I said.
Dream ends
The dinner for my boss is three days from now as I write this.
My wife is not attending.
My boss is going to be 64 next month. His parents died decades ago. His father in the 1970’s his mother in the 1990’s. I never met either, even though I worked for him since 1997.
Maybe they were that age when they died?
Not really sure.
We’ll see what happens Tuesday night at the dinner…
