The Worcester Art Museum was doing their annual flora in winter exhibition this weekend, so my wife and I attended as normal.
As always, there were things we thought matched well, and things we didn’t.
This year didn’t seem to be their best.
But, you’re welcome to decide yourself.
Even though MUCH less crowded than in years past, folks didn’t seem as willing to make space for others to see the displays. So, the photos are not as close up as normal. Good thing I’m tall or all you’d get is the back of other folks. And, there is still a lot of that.
These we either split our vote or thought were OK.
Some didn’t do it for me.
This one doing a flower arrangement to match two white rectangles. I don’t think that is the best thing to pick when matching with flowers.
My wife wasn’t even sure which one this went to. Turned out to be the one on the right, even if I think it mashed the one on the left better.
I thought this one was good.
I thought this one fairly good with the way that represented the cliffs.
This one got two. One of which I thought was better than the other.
This one we thought did well conveying the lack of arms.
This is the one we liked the most.
There were some things in the museum that were just closed or not doing well. Three different galleries closed.
And, signs like this:
There were a bunch of table setting displays. One by a company we’ve used in the past ourselves.
And, as always, flowers that are just there to be nice.
Of course, there is always art I just like.
Some day The Doctor is going to finish that chess game and take care of the Daleks…
There was a visiting exhibit that juxtaposed promise and reality of the American Dream that I liked quite a bit. Even if not flattering to my family history…
And, of course, flowers in the bathroom…
