Week in photos

Nov 07, 2017 20:05

The week started with a big storm. Not quite a hurricane, but close in terms of wind speed.
By Monday morning it was better.

But, there was still a lot of damage.

Roads were blocked by trees. Traffic lights were out for 3 or more days. Power was out more than that in places.

But, it was sunny and warm. Very warm. Borderline use air-conditioning warm. That’s nor normal in November.

Despite the warm weather, Christmas decorations still went up.

The end of the week had a nice big moon.

Saturday we drove off towards the city to meet our friend.

We started at the De Cordova museum. One advantage of being there with a friend as someone else could hold the camera.

It’s a nice place with many interesting things.

It’s a nice site as well.

And, they had hats and folding things.

Indoor stuff as well.

Benches too!

Then off to Worcester to the art museum. They were having a special day in celebration of Diwali. http://www.worcesterart.org

I went off and got us lunch very close to where we used to live a quarter century ago.

And, went past where my wife and I met 34 years ago.

I was surprised there was a reserved parking space for peanut butter.

The museum still had their exhibit made of recycled things.

And, benches.

We also watched the special event for Diwali.

There was dancing and singing.

I call this one "knight about to pole dance".

And, this one "knight appreciating a pole dance".

I always wonder at this one what that chess move is going to be.

I think I’d move the pawn forward and threaten the bishop…

I like this map.

We went off to Carne Con Carne for dinner. It was a lot of meat…
