After getting my car’s oil changed Saturday my wife and I went shopping for a new vacuum cleaner.
That might not look like vacuum cleaners, but it is what we went in for.
Then, we joined friends for dinner and got back after dark.
Sunday was one of those days when it is really fall. Damp, windy, not warm.
So, my wife and I went off to Bancroft tower.
It’s a 117 year old monument that used to be open a lot. But, these days they keep it locked up most of the time. They decided to open it every Sunday in October, and this was the last one, so that’s when we went.
It’s on top of a hill only a couple of km from where we lived when we lived in the city.
We waited in the line to go to the very top.
We explored the sub-towers while we waited.
It’s a nice view from the top.
But, it started to rain.
They did have a guide there to explain what you were seeing.
You get a very good view of the school where my wife works.
Good thing I brought the waterproof camera.
They have a fire place there that vents up the insides of the walls.
Then, off to practice.
Cold and rainy there too.
We are teaching the younger generation to use weapons.
The adults did some too.
