Summary : Jin hates weddings. Unfortunate for him, having a sadistic best friend didn't leaves him much choice when he was chosen as the best man. But little did he knows, fate have such great sense of humor.

A/N : This is written for dearest kalake82  who won the bidding in recent Help_Japan's auction. Dear, sooooooo sorry for the late update. Bitchy RL and writer block are such a bad combination!!!  Really hope you enjoy this. Will try my best to update it faster....(^_^)

Despite popular belief, Jin is not commitment phobic.

Sure he could be a bit cocky when talking about the logic of love, but that doesn’t mean he plans to stay single for the rest of his life. His track record in the ability to stay in a relationship is not that great either with the longest of 5 months. But he always believes he just has not met the right person yet.

Few years back, a close friend of his tried to convince him that when he first spotted his wife, there was bell that chimed telling him she’s ‘The One’. Of course he never believes such fairy tale. Well, not until this very moment. He’s positive that he’s going to be deaf soon if his heart refuses to slow down at the sight of Kamenashi Kazuya.

“Jin dear, are you alright?” a soft gentle voice jolts him back to reality.

He blinks unceremoniously trying to compose himself realizing a pair of eyes is scrutinizing him “Of course, Yamashita-san. Why shouldn’t I be?”

His best friend’s mom smiles sweetly “Well, you just look a bit spaced out. Do you need a drink or anything? A brisk walk by the beach to get some fresh air maybe? I’m sure Yukino would be more than happy to accompany you.”

Jin nervously swallows his saliva as he slowly turns around to the other side, faking a smile to the demure looking girl he almost forgot about “I would love to, but it’s a bit hot right now, don’t you think?”

Before Yamashita-san could reply on behalf of Yukino, as expected, a soft squeeze lands on his right shoulder instantly demand his attention. He turns around almost desperately “Keiko-chan?!”

“Aren’t you going to ask me for a dance?” a cheerful voice greets as the gorgeous girl flashes her pearly whites blissfully.

Jin stands up immediately, bows respectfully to the rest before leading the bride to the dance floor. He leans down and whispers “Thanks for saving me”.

She chuckles softly “It’s the least I could do to repay you for that lovely speech.”

As he leads her to the centre, he spots Yamapi spinning his petite mother-in-law mercilessly “Aren’t you going to save your mom?” Jin teases Keiko before pulling her close in a waltz pose.

“Don’t worry. She adores Pi” she replies lightly as they start swaying to the jazzy music.

“And he adores her as well” Jin adds swiftly. “You look gorgeous today” he compliments her sincerely, admiring the perfect smile on her beautiful features. “Yamapi is indeed a lucky guy.”

A small laughter escapes her glossy lips “And you my friend look dashing yourself. I can name a few who came to me to ask for your number.”

“I hope you have not been passing around my number just yet” he teases her with a fake pout.

Keiko shakes her head slightly “Well, I did think of giving it to Nanami at first. She’s a lovely girl you know” she bats her lovely eyes playfully.

“I’m sure she is” Jin nods willingly.

“Don’t worry. I’m done matchmaking the two of you” she admits with grin.

A wider grin spreads across Jin’s handsome face “That was fast.”

“Yeah, I realized I’m a bit too pushy on the matter and you might hate me later on. You don’t have to worry about it anymore. Besides she found someone else already”

Jin let out a hearty laughter before continuing “Great for her. And by the way, you are not that pushy. Especially, compared to your mother in law.”

“Yamashita-san?” she arches her beautiful trimmed brows questioningly.

Jin spins her lightly before pulling her in again “Yup. She has been trying to set me up with a girl since college. There were few times I almost told her that I’m gay just so she stops arranging and shoving beautiful girls at my doorstep.”

“Well, I guess she just want to see you happy” she replies knowingly. Both turn around to Jin’s table and sees the lady in question waving happily to them.

“I know. And I also know you share the same thoughts, that’s why you want to introduce Nanami to me” Jin squeezes her hand encouragingly. “The thing is, I’m happy being who I am.”

She smiles guiltily “I know. I’m sorry. I promise I will never interfere with your love life again.”

“You’re such a lovely girl and I’m glad that Pi found you” he leads her to the middle of the floor with her dress swirling gracefully around her ankles. They stop next to Pi who right on cue is waiting for his bride with open arms.

Gingerly Jin places her hand onto Pi’s open palm. The newlywed stares at each other longingly and Jin could not help it but feel his own dorky smile appearing as he admires the loving duo. He gives a soft nod before making his exit. Then suddenly, Keiko calls for him “Good luck with Kamenashi-kun. I heard he’s still single.”

Her eyes sparkle with menace matching Yamapi’s devilish grin, shamelessly admitting that he’s the one who spilled the secret leaving Jin shaking his head in disbelief.

“So are you going to match-make us then?” hope tingles in his question.

“Sorry, can’t do. I already promise not to interfere” she hugs her husband tightly before sharing a sweet kiss.

“You planned the whole thing right” Jin teasingly accuses his best friend. “And now you have an accomplice to do your dirty work.”

Still staring at his beautiful bride, Pi replies “Maybe it’s about time you start thinking of settling down. Then you can have your own partner in crime” he turns around and smile brightly at Jin.

“I’ll think about it” he replies, lovingly patting Pi’s shoulder.

As the next song seeps in, Jin gracefully makes his way back, leaving the lovebirds in their blissful world.

Out of the blue, his eyes caught the sight of the beautiful guy. Kamenashi smiles brightly as he lifts his camera slightly in the same manner others lift wine glass to acknowledge someone.

Jin feels his heartbeat go frantic again as he directs his course to the guy. But as he about to reach him, he feels a soft tap on his shoulder again. Hesitantly he turns around “Yukino-chan?”

“Ano… Can I have the next dance?” her soft voice is a bit shaky.

“I’m…” he wants to decline, but seeing the shy girl pulling all her courage, he feels obliged to the dance “I’m honored.” As he leads the girl to the dance floor, he suddenly sees another guest stepping in next to Kamenashi before leading him elsewhere.

“Surprise seeing you here” Jin hands the guy a glass of red wine.

The pretty guy took the glass and carefully taking a sip “Ryo begged me to come.”

“I did not” Ryo denies, his lips twitching.

“Then should I head back?” Ueda threatens coldly.

Jin shakes his head, amused “Stop it you guys. Let’s just enjoy Pi’s big day.”

The three of them falls into a comfortable silence, sharing a bench, observing the crowd from afar.

“So, Ryo told me about your unexpected crush” Ueda breaks the silence as the guy in question walks pass them. But he’s not alone as the earlier guest is walking alongside him, they seem to be in a deep conversation.

Unexpectedly the photographer turns around towards their direction and gives out a soft nod and a half smile in that very glimpse before walking away.

“Who’s that guy walking next to him?” Jin asks, biting his lips in annoyance, staring at their back till it disappears behind the many coconut trees.

“Matsumoto Jun. Keiko’s cousin. A renowned music director” Ueda replies nonchalantly.

“Eh?!” both Ryo and Jin exclaims in unison.

“What?” Ueda rolls his eyes.

“How did you know him?” Ryo asks, definitely sounding like a jealous boyfriend.

“Everyone knows him. He was even featured in few magazines last year. But the most important thing is…” a wicked smile slowly creeping on Ueda’s thin lips “I heard he’s into guys. And I have no doubt that the photographer is his type.”

In a split second, Jin already on his feet, tracing the footsteps of the two, ignoring the faint cheering from his two best friends.

As soon as he caught the sight of Kamenashi and Matsumoto, Jin jogs towards them, ignoring the soft sands prickling his trousers.

“Kamenashi-kun” he calls as he continues racing, trying to catch up with them.

The smaller guy turns around slowly, surprise clearly seen on his expression “Akanishi-san?”

“Sorry to suddenly interrupt both of you” both hands on his knees, breathless and panting for air. The younger guy simply waits for him with an encouraging smile.

“Is something wrong?” he asks, once Jin straightens his back and is finally standing again.

“Do you know him?” Matsumoto asks curiously.

Jin takes a deep breath, feeling the salty air rushing through his lungs, trying to conjure enough courage to do what he plans to do next. Then, without further hesitation, he clasps the photographer’s hand and pulls him to his side “I saw him first.”
