Stretching before us a brand new year, and if we choose, a new beginning. For me it will be mostly business as usual, tending to, wishing, hoping and dreaming. These are things I do best.
Hope is for staying healthy; hope for some common sense to return to our Congressmen and women, which seems just wishful thinking.

This has been an intersting holiday time around here. Lots of snow, cold days and people visiting. My neighbors walk by and I will usually say, come on in for coffee, or as yesterday, to help me finish a bottle of wine, of course before she and I finished with it, others stopped in, so we opened another one and now have to finish that one....my joys of living in this small town.
You mentioned a "white out": in your previous comment, and i know exactly what you experienced; a very strange feeling when one does not know directions, even when the land is very familiar. The Old Woman in the Sky does things, and she does it with vigor.
And what are you up to these days? I don't get into the journal as often as I once did, but I haven't seen any posts from you, the last I remember you were no longer in the forest service. (I know there is a name for it, but can never remember the new one.)
