Greetings from the land of amazing waffles, fries (frites) and chocolate!  Many Americans don't think to stop in this country on their way to other European destinations--they are missing out. Lest anyone out there in blog land be totally jealous of my trip, it POURED rain today--the day I rented my bike here in Amsterdam.

Once you make the decision that you are going to get totally soaked, it's really not so bad! Bikes rule over cars and peds here, so it is smooth riding. I saw many locals talking on cell phones, schlepping multiply ( Read more... )

This will be a very short post because the French have their own keyboard and so I am typing this very slowly. Traveling = Good! Rennes is a beautiful old city. Hugs--more mater when I can find the . more easily.

I may have overdone it in Paris yesterday. I saw 3 museums, one outdoor garden display (very cool) and did at least one 'city walk'. I am sleeping ok,  but my body is definitely confused. I woke up at 4 am and then again at 11 am. Paris is amazing, if only it could kick that cigarette habit, they could rule the world! Ok-- off for more walking! ( Read more... )
