Good morning, my lovely watchers!
Long time no update, eh? I'm sorry for the silence, but there has been a lot going on up here! Work has been about the same, but I'm able to do SO much more now with the public! I can now do close encounters with frogs, millipedes, cockroaches, turtles, and I'm working on doing a mammal next :D Who knew that Guinea Pigs would be so interesting? XD On top of that, work is going by so fast each day and I finally feel like I know what I'm doing! My two month anniversary of work starts tomorrow and, boy, am I surprised to see how far I've come...From having trouble with the squidgy and asking every five seconds if doing this or that is alright to a more confident, knowledgeable individual of the Zoological world.
On top of that, making new friends and fellow-bus driver/riders all the time :3 They've come to know me by my baked goodies which I share with them on the way to work. And I'm now known at work by my goodies as well. :P Wish me luck next week--I'm making treats for my church- group. Flan and Churros! Never fried anything before, so this will be a trip indeed...Indeed.
Speaking of church group, I've come to love going to see them all on Wednesday nights with great discussions, games, and service projects. Plus last night I went on a little road trip with one of the members of the group to visit her brother at a Christian camp out in Snoquamie. Such beautiful scenery and such a beautiful testament to how God can work in ANYONE'S life....Really makes me wish I could have helped with VBS this year ;o; I miss the kids! Regardless, an awesome time and an awesome show of God's work and the power he has in even the lives of children.
But I've been exploring all over recently, walking there and there, and even riding on the sounder train to Woodland park zoo! If you check out my Facebook, you can see some of the amazing animals/programs that they have there (*crosses her fingers for possibly getting a job as an educator there*). Not quite sure about living up here, though. If I can't stand the coldness of this strange summer, I don't know how I'd fair with winters >>; Still, the weather has been improving as of late, so let's hope it stays on this trend.
At any rate, going on more exploring the rest of the weekend: seeing the musical Cats on Saturday and going to the Ethnic Festival on Sunday evening :D And in traveling in all these places, I've needed a book to read...And have found Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy! Man what an addictive, funny, witty series! I now have a public library card and so can check out books whenever I wish...As soon as I finished the first one, I ran (literally) down to the library and grabbed the next two in the series XD If you haven't read them, pick them up!
At any rate, there will be more pictures and baking adventures to come! I'll keep you all posted on what's going on and may God give you opportunities to show His kindness and love to all!
